To help customers get an answer to their questions even quicker even outside office hours we have upgraded our 0800 number to have an IVR system (interactive voice response). 

Now when you call 0800 092 4880 you have five options. You can hear pre-recorded answers to the most frequently asked questions or you can be put through to a live operator.

Can my cat flap be replaced with Smart Flap?

If your current cat flap has a 210mm diameter (from edge to edge) circular hole then it can be replaced with the new Pet Porte Smart Flap.

The following models can simply be replaced with the new Pet Porte Smart Flap:

• Staywell 917
• Staywell 918
• Staywell 919
• Staywell 932
• Staywell 500
• Sureflap

Why do we process payments with PayPal?

When you call us on 0800 092 4880 to order the Pet Porte microchip cat flap we process your credit or debit card with PayPal.

We do not set up an account for you and we do not log into your PayPal account. 

Your payment is processed by PayPal and you will receive an email receipt from PayPal.

We find that PayPal is an easy and safe way of payment and the charges are lower than if we processed the card through a bank system. 

Please be assured that your details will not be shared with any other parties.

When will Smart Flap be delivered?

The Pet Porte Smart Flap is still on shedule for delivery on the 27th June therefore if you order Smart Flap now you will have it at the beginning of July.

They are selling fast so please get your order in quick as stocks will be very limited at launch.

What to do if you cat catches a bird or mouse

If you see your cat in the garden or outside somewhere with either a bird or a mouse in her mouth then normally you might panic!

With a regular cat flap your cat could run inside with the bird or mouse and it could escape into your house.

Recently by neighbour had two birds in her house that she thinks could have flown down her chimney. Regardless of how they got in (she has got a standard 4 way locking cat flap) the birds caused a lot of damage in her home and took a long time to get out. 

There was bird droppings all over the house and down the windows as well as feathers and fluff on the carpets. The birds went through needless stress because they could not find their way out on their own.

To stop your cat bringing mice or birds in is really simple with the original Pet Porte microchip cat flap.  We just noticed our cat Hilda outside with a bird in her mouth. 

We knew that we can just quickly switch the cat flap off at the socket and she will not be able to get back in until we let her. So when she comes to the door we can check to see if she has got the bird in her mouth or not and if we want to let her in all we need to do is switch the cat flap on again. 

How simple is that?

Pet Porte door sticking - what to do?

Some customers have contacted us saying that the door of their Pet Porte microchip cat flap was sticking or not closing properly. Thankfully this problem is easily rectified.

We found that in all cases where the door would not close properly the reason is that the cat flap has been over tightened during fitting. 

So to stop the door sticking just loosen the screws so they are not over-tight and you should find it works perfectly.
